2 suspects in Tanza traffic enforcer shooting surrender

CAVITE – The two suspects behind the shooting of a traffic enforcer in Tanza surrendered to Gov. Jonvic Remulla at the Cavite Provincial Capitol on Tuesday, May 30. In a media interview, Remulla said the suspects approached Tanza Vice Mayor SM Matro and Daang Amaya II Barangay Captain Cindy Arguson to coordinate their surrender. “Nasa Tanza rin sila, nagpaalam sila sa kanilang kapitana sa Barangay Amaya II, sila’y pumunta rin sa Vice Mayor namin doon. Ininform ako kagabi na gusto nilang mag-surrender. On May 28, Llagas got into a heated argument with traffic enforcer William Mentes Quiambao, who apprehended him for driving a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol. Llagas allegedly shot Quiambao and fled the crime scene on his motorcycle along with Carlos. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival due to multiple gunshot wounds. On May 29, the Tanza local government unit (LGU) offered a P100,000 cash reward for information that would lead to the arrest of Llagas and Carlos.
