Las Piñas LGU holds pneumonia vax drive for senior citizens

The Las Piñas local government, led by the City Health Office (CHO), conducted a special pneumonia vaccination drive for senior citizens last Friday, April 28.    Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the activity, attended by Vice-Mayor April Aguilar, was held at the Barangay Manuyo I covered court. Since pneumonia is one of the leading causes of hospitalization and death among seniors, the vaccination drive serves as a crucial preventive measure, Aguilar said. The mayor added that the vaccination drive is part of the government’s goal to decrease the mortality and morbidity rate of those aged 60 and above.
