Four PH bets advance to obstacle race finals

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia—Four Filipinos advanced to the final round in the obstacle race course event Wednesday, May 3, in the 32^nd Southeast Asian Games at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center Car Park here.

Jaymark Rodelas and Popoy Pascua displayed their agility by clocking 25.0921 and 26.1896 seconds to move in the gold-medal round of the 100-meter men’s individual. Precious Cabuya and Kaizen dela Serna would not be left behind as they also posted their fastest times of 33.1278sec and 34.8634sec to fight for the gold medal in the distaff side. Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation President Al Agra said in the process, Rodelas and Cabuya also reset two world records – in the World Obstacle and Guinness World Records – but it would still be subject to confirmation. The PH team guns to replicate its successful showing in the 2019 edition held in Manila where the sport was last held where they swept all six gold medals at stake.
