Convenience store in Laguna robbed of P254,000

BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – A convenience store in Barangay Canlalay here was robbed of P254,000 before dawn on Tuesday, May 2. Police said Alfamart employee Justine Gonzales was manning the counter when a man and a woman entered and declared a holdup. The suspects ordered Gonzales to open the vault at gunpoint and carted away cash sales totaling P254,134 from the vault and cash from the register. Gonzales said the male suspect was wearing a green jacket, pink polo shirt, and pants, while his companion was clad in black shirt and shorts. Suspects fled on board an orange Toyota Wigo without a license plate number towards the direction of Santa Rosa City, this province.
