Close to 300 job applicants were hired on-the-spot during the Labor Day Job Fair 2023 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City on May 1.
The Department of Labor and Employment –Region 4-A (Calabarzon) announced that out of the 278 hired on-the-spot applicants, 140 are female while 138 are male.
Some 219 applicants were referred to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) while 299 were assisted by the government agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig, in their document requirements.
Reinier Llanan of San Roque, Antipolo City, one of the newly hired applicants who submitted his curriculum vitae at the job fair, told Manila Bulletin that he was happy to learn that he made it as a service crew of fast food chain Chowking from the hiring manager who interviewed him.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Antipolo said there were 20 applicants who submitted their resumes to the government agency.
A total of 1,335 job applicants went to the job fair at the Ynares Center.
Aside from the job fair, meat, poultry products, and other agricultural produce by farmers and cooperatives based in Rizal Province were sold during the Kadiwa ng Pangulo event.
