BTS' Suga on 'D-Day' album, Disney+ documentary; debuts on Billboard charts
BTS’ Suga, aka Agust D, is on a roll.
He has released his first official solo album “D-Day” and Disney+ has released his documentary “Suga: Road to D-Day.”

Suga also kicked off his “Suga \| Agust D Tour in U\.S” last April 26 and 27 at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park\, New York\, followed by Prudential Center in New Jersey last April 29\. In addition, he scored No. 1s on Billboard charts.

The Disney+ documentary also includes exclusive live clips of songs from Suga’s “D-Day” album. “I know for sure that the mixtape was going to have three parts,” said Suga in the documentary, referring to the albums “D-2,” “Agust D” and “D-Day,” all released under the stage name Agust D. Suga was a guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” According to Fallon, he enjoyed watching the Disney+ documentary. When he was asked if he was uncomfortable with cameras around him, Suga said, “I've done a lot of documentaries so I don't feel uncomfortable around cameras.”

Disney+ documentary
In the Disney+ documentary, Suga traveled to different places in search of inspiration for his “D-Day” album. He traveled from Seoul to Tokyo and Las Vegas to have musical inspiration. Throughout the documentary, viewers will see the star at his most vulnerable, as he discusses his writer’s block with other musicians, and delves deep into his most traumatic memories to pen lyrics for several of his latest songs.

Suga’s “D-Day” has debuted on multiple Billboard charts. It grabbed the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 while “Haegum” debuted at No. 58 on the Hot 100 chart. Suga bagged the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales, World Albums, Top Rap Albums, Top Current Album Sales, Digital Song Sales, Rap Digital Song Sales and World Digital Song Sales. Suga is No. 3 on the Artist 100 chart and also grabbed the No. 9 spot on the Hot Rap Songs, No. 12 on the Global (Exc. US) chart and No. 15 on Global 200.South Korea
In South Korea, “D-Day” took the No. 3 spot on Hanteo Chart’s monthly physical album chart for April with 1.28 million copies sold. This made Suga the highest charting solo artist in the monthly chart. The album posted sales of 1.27 million copies in the first week of release.
