ILOILO CITY – A mobile app was recently launched by the local government of Malay, Aklan and its partners called Project Big A: Boracay Information Guide App to ensure the safety of tourists visiting world-famous Boracay Island.
“This innovation project includes information that will maximize their travel experience – a centralized tourist-related information which includes travel requirements, sites to explore, accredited tourism frontliners and service providers, updates, and more,” said the Malay Tourism Office in a statement.
The Boracay Information Guide App was conceptualized through the Public Management Development Program-Local Government Executives and Managers Class of the Development Academy of the Philippines.
“Project Big A takes the lead for Boracay to be at the forefront of digitization and innovation in the country and also gives tourists and the community full access to authentic, reliable, and timely information that is available 24/7,” the Malay Tourism Office added.
