CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office-3 apprehended 2,212 lawbreakers in Central Luzon last April.
Police also seized illegal drugs worth P10,894,904.80 along with P560,456 cash bets across the region.
Police Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., PRO3 director, said 711 persons were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations in the region.
The PRO-3 also nabbed 106 most wanted individuals and 629 other wanted persons and 766 for illegal gambling.
Twenty-four New People’s Army rebels surrendered to Philippine National Police and local government authorities in Central Luzon. Surrenderers turned over 22 firearms and 21 explosives.
“These recent accomplishments, particularly in the arrest of fugitives, people involved in illegal drugs, terrorism, and street crimes, were the results of the strong support of all local chief executives in the anti-criminality and anti-insurgency campaigns of PNP-PRO-3, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and members of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict,” Hidalgo said.
