The program, implemented by the DOH on April 27, aims to protect the children against the vaccine-preventable diseases and is part of the observation of the World Immunization Week.

“Libre, ligtas at epektibo ang mga bakunang ito. Kaya naman hinihikayat ang mga magulang na pabakunahan ang inyong mga anak para masiguro ang kanilang kaligtasan (These vaccines are free, safe and effective. That is why parents are encouraged to have their children vaccinated to ensure their safety),” the city government said.

The local government said parents can bring their children to their barangay health centers, while door-to-door inoculations will also be conducted.

Residents can check the Malabon City Health Department- Health Promotion Unit Facebook page for additional information about the program.

Meanwhile, the Navotas City government also announced on Wednesday, May 3, that it launched the vaccination program for the protection of the kids in the city.

Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco expressed support for the program and urged the parents to have their children immunized against the contagious diseases.

He assured the parents that the vaccines are safe and effective.
