P12-M marijuana destroyed in Kalinga

TINGLAYAN, Kalinga â€“ Marijuana plants valued at P12 million were discovered and destroyed in a two-day eradication operation in Barangay Buscalan here. The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, National Bureau of Investigation-Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, and Philippine Drug Enforcement-Kalinga conducted the operation from May 27 to 28. They uprooted a total of 60,000 marijuana plants being cultivated in a 4,000-square meter land. These were burned onsite. No cultivator was apprehended during the operation.
