Man killed in Rizal freak accident

A 20-year-old man was killed after he was accidentally crushed by a moving 12-wheeler truck following an argument with his companion in Rodriguez, Rizal. According to the police, the victim was drunk when the accident occurred. During the initial investigation, one of the victim's companions stated that the victim and one of their friends had a heated argument, and the latter punched the victim causing him to immediately fall to the ground. Unfortunately the truck, which had came from Porac, Pampanga to make a delivery in the area, passed through the road where the victim was laying and inadvertently crushed him. Another witness to the accident, a bar owner, said that the victim, the suspect, and one of their companions went to the establishment, but they were prevented from entering due to their drunkenness. The owner was then surprised when the two suddenly started fighting. The police said that the suspect, who is a minor, is now under the custody of the Rodriguez, Rizal Municipal Social Welfare while the truck driver is now facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
