Free heritage walking tours of Pasig River to open this June

The Pasig River Coordinating and Management Office (PRCMO) and the Renacimiento Manila will be hosting the Pasig River Heritage Walks every Saturday this coming June for Philippine Environment Month.

The walking tours will be on June 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The heritage walk aims to reinvigorate the public’s interest in rediscovering the beauty, history, and vitality of the Pasig River, including its contributions to the metro’s culture, heritage, and present modernity.

Participants, whether local or foreign tourists and visitors, will be taken on a curated tour to some of the historical landmarks along the river.

They will be guided by experts from the PRCMO and the Renacimiento Manila, which is a cultural organization that holds programs such as regular walking tours to help individuals explore, learn, and appreciate the culture and heritage of the city of Manila.

Previously the organization partnered with the Youth Strike 4 Climate Philippines on the “Ilog Pasiglahin Walk” last May 27 to advocate for the protection and conservation of the Pasig River.

The PRCMO encourages families and friends to join the heritage walks by registering through the link (tinyurl.com/PasigRiverWalk).
