The club team’s social media page made the official announcement of the acquisition of outside spiker Dela Cruz and setter Alba, who were vital cogs in La Salle’s UAAP title conquest this season. Also joining F2 is FEU standout Jovelyn Fernandez.
The three joined a Regine Diego-mentored team already teeming with talent in Myla Pablo, Kianna Dy, Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Kim Fajardo, Dawn Macandili and Ara Galang among others.
The talented neophytes should also boost F2’s bid of eclipsing its third place performance in the All-Filipino Conference—its best effort in the league since it joined two years ago.
The pickups came on the same day Chery Tiggo snagged University of Santo Tomas’ Eya Laure, who is considered the most talented of the rookie crop that came out of college this year.
The Crossovers also tabbed another UST standout Imee Hernandez and National University stars Cess Robles, Jennifer Nierva and Joyme Cagande.
Other notable newbies that were signed recently were Akari’s Faith Nisperos and Cignal’s Vanessa Gandler both from Ateneo.
