CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Twelve police officers from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera were awarded Philippine National Police medals on Monday, May 29, for their exemplary contributions to the anti-criminality campaign.
Member of the Public Safety Savings and Loan Association Inc. (PSSLAI) Board of Trustees retired Major Gen. Lyndon Cubos led the awarding of medals at the Masigasig Grandstand here as guest of honor and speaker and was assisted by Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera director.
The Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to Police Lt. Albert Dolinta Jr. and Police Staff Sgt. Miller Cabansi of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO); Police Capt. Willie Maglaya and Police Senior Master Sgt. Jeffree Barroga of the Abra PPO; Police Lt. Grant Balagsa and Police Staff Sgt. Mae Angeli Siddayo of the Apayao PPO for the arrest of wanted persons.
The Medalya ng Kagalingan was given to Police Master Sgt. Jocel Lagera and Police Corporal Nathaniel Tacyo of the Mountain Province PPO for the arrest of communist rebel and surrender of firearms; and Police Major Rommel Quinio and Police Corporal Benson Os-osa of the Baguio City Police Office and Police Capt. Joseph Marcasi and Police Master Sgt Wilma Bongabong of the Kalinga PPO for successful buy-bust operations.
