The 2023 BTS Festa consists of various online and offline events that citizens and tourists can enjoy starting June 1 in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of BTS' debut in June and these will be held in Seoul.

The main event of the festival will be held on June 17 at Yeouido Hangang Park. This will showcase various contents that shed light on the past, present and future of BTS. In particular, the main event will be prepared with programs rich in things to see and enjoy that the general public and fans can enjoy together.

Seoul and the Seoul Tourism Organization will have a “Seoul in Purple” booth to promote Seoul tourism.

A visitor to the booth can receive a special car with a map of seven attractions in Seoul. It contains lyrics of BTS songs suitable for each place.

When a visitor uploads a photo taken at the 2023 BTS Festa with a designated hashtag on Instagram, BTS goods and gifts will also be provided through a lucky draw.

In particular, the stamp tour visits major attractions in Seoul related to BTS, such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Hangang Park, and BTS Forest.

“Participants will have the chance to embark on stamp tours, participate in hashtag events, and compete for exciting prizes related to BTS,” according to the official Facebook account of the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

After attracting about 180,000 foreign tourists to Seoul during the Seoul Festa last May (April 30 to May 7), the city of Seoul is bringing global fandom to Seoul by supporting BTS to hold the 2023 BTS FESTA in June.

Seoul chose eight iconic landmarks to be turned into purple, symbolizing BTS and their fandom, ARMY, from June 12 to 25.

These are the Some Sevit, N Seoul Tower, Seoul City Hall, DDP, World Cup Bridge, City Hall and Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Media facades will also adorn the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Some Sevit and N Seoul Tower to create a welcome atmosphere for foreign tourists visiting Seoul.

Kim Young-hwan, director of Tourism and Sports at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, said, “This 2023 BTS Festa is a good event that can draw the world's attention to Seoul and show the charms of Seoul, and we expect it to become an opportunity to revitalize Seoul tourism.”
