P6.1-M marijuana abandoned in Kalinga

TABUK, Kalinga – Police discovered 51 bricks of dried marijuana leaves abandoned on a road in Barangay Bangad Centro, Tinglayan, Kalinga on Saturday, May 27. Police Capt. Ruffy Manganip, public information officer of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office, said each brick weighed approximately one kilo and these were placed inside two sacks. Estimated to be worth P6.1 million, Manganip theorized that these were left behind by their transporters after sensing they won’t be able to pass a nearby police checkpoint. Manganip said these were taken to the PNP Crime Laboratory for further examination and documentation.
