Lee Seung-gi will be regular visitor to PH - Chavit

Fans can expect to see more of Lee Seung-gi in the Philippines after his successful  "The Dreamer's Dream - Chapter 2" concert last May 27. His patron, Ilocos Sur kingpin Luis "Chavit" Singson revealed that the Korean pop idol and actor will invest in the country's entertainment industry and real estate, particularly the "Little Seoul" estate that will soon rise in what used to be Metrowalk in Pasig City. Lee Seung-gi and a group of Korean investors arrived via Chavit's private plane from Korea last Friday. They will be in talks with Chavit's LCS Group of Companies to finalize their planned business ventures in the Philippines. "Pabalik-balik na sya dito," Chavit said, referring to Lee. " Siya ang kasama natin sa entertainment company ng LCS Group dahil magde-develop kami ng Little Seoul at magtatayo rin ng golf course sa Vigan," Chavit said.

(He will be regularly coming back here. He is together with me in the entertainment company of LCS Group. We will develop Little Seoul and also put up a golf course in Vigan.) Lee spoke in Korean during his arrival press conference at the Delta Gate hangar in Pasay. Translating his speech, Lee's interpreter said::" He was here for travel last April and he really liked it. He was really surprised that a lot of people recognize him so he was really enjoying that moment. He also visited Vigan and  he thought it was a really beautiful city and he thought one day,  he can do a Korean variety show in Vigan." "He really loved the local food in the Philippines. If there's a chance, maybe he can sing a song in Filipino,"  the interpreter added. Chavit narrated that Lee only stayed for two days in Vigan last March to inspect LCS group's properties. It was during this time that Lee and other investors expressed interest in transforming the Safari Hotel into a world-class golf course.

"Lee will have a show here and of course a movie also which we hope can help the local film industry," Chavit said. The Ilocos magnate added that part of the plan is to bring in other big Korean artists. He noted that  BTS is already the endorser of his franchise of BBQ Chicken which has 3,500 branches in Korea. It has a branch now in Central Square, Bonifacio Global City and will expand to other areas soon. The LCS Group will also spearhead the training of young Filipino entertainers who will be the next SB 19. On the other hand, Metrowalk - which occupies roughly 5,000 square meters of space - will be transformed into an entertainment hub that will replicate famous tourist spots in Seoul.
