Korean drama 'Doctor Cha' suffers significant drop in ratings for episode 13
The hit Korean drama “Doctor Cha” recorded a significant drop in ratings for its latest episode.
“Doctor Cha,” which airs every Saturday and Sunday, stars Uhm Jung-hwa, Kim Byung-chul, Myung Se-bin and Min Woo-hyuk.

In episode 13, Cha Jeong-suk (Uhm Jung-hwa) told her husband, Seo In-ho (Kim Byung-chul), that she wanted a divorce. According to Nielsen Korea, episode 13 of “Doctor Cha” which aired on May 27 got a nationwide rating of 14.42 percent in South Korea. This is a big drop of 4.073 percentage points compared to 18.493 percent nationwide for episode 12 on May 21. It is the lowest episode for “Doctor Cha” since episode 8, which recorded a nationwide rating of 16.181 percent on May 7. In the metropolitan area (Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi), the rating for episode 13 of “Doctor Cha” also fell to 14.56 percent, down by 4.776 percentage points compared to 19.336 percent for episode 12. The 18.493 percent nationwide for episode 12 brought “Doctor Cha” to the No. 7 spot for the all-time highest rated drama on cable TV in South Korea. Attention is now focused on whether “Doctor Cha” can reach a nationwide rating of 20 percent. “Doctor Cha” is aired on JTBC and streamed on TVING in South Korea and globally on Netflix.
