According to the Muntinlupa Social Services Department (SSD), 25 families were affected and 11 structures were destroyed in the fire.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon ordered the city government to provide help to the families. The city government gave food items, kitchen kit (cooking pan, utensils, stove), family kit (clothes, towels, slippers), sleeping kit (blankets, pillows, folding beds and mosquito nets) and hygiene kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo) to the families. In addition, the SSD and Barangay Putatan gave hot meals.

Biazon visited the families on May 27. He said the fire reportedly started from a factory containing plastics and spread to houses.

He said financial assistance will be given to the families after a survey is completed on the exact number of affected families.
