Classes in Cagayan suspended due to Betty

The provincial government of Cagayan has suspended classes on all levels in the province on Monday, May 29, due to typhoon “Betty.” Vice Gov. Melvin Vargas, acting governor, has issued Executive Order No. 2, Series of 2023, declaring the cancellation of classes. Meanwhile, the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cagayan and its sub-stations are on alert as Betty lingers east of the province as of Sunday, May 28. They are continuously coordinating with the Incident Management Team (IMT) of municipalities in the province for immediate evacuation of residents or rescue operations.
