LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Thirty police officers from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-15 (RMFB-15) of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera have completed a three-day search and rescue training here.
The three-day training from May 23 to 25 was initiated by Police Lt. Col. Ruel Tagel, acting RMFB-15 commander, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) led by fire marshal Lt. Victor Sayapen Jr.
Tagel said they underwent training to enhance their technical skills such as first aid, navigation, rope climbing, survival skills, and knowledge on conducting searches, delivering supplies and survival equipment, and rescuing survivors, among others.
He emphasized that training and developing skills play a vital role in performing duties and responsibilities as public servants as implied by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr.’s three-fold agenda "Disiplina at Dasal, Kakayahan at Kaunlaran, Pagmamahal at Pagtupad sa Tungkulin."
