17K add'l food packs delivered in preparation for 'Betty'—DSWD
A total of 17,000 additional Family Food Packs (FFPs) have been prepositioned by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to various provinces in preparation for typhoon Betty (international name: Mawar).

As of Saturday, May 27, the agency said 10,500 FFs were sent by the DSWD-National Resource Operation Center to its Field Office (FO) V Regional Warehouse in Bogtong, Legaspi, Albay. "As of May 27, the DSWD FO V has stockpiled a total of 49,833 Family Food Packs and 52,841 Non-food Items/kits in all warehouses and prepositioning sites throughout the Bicol Region," it said.

Meanwhile, 1,500 FFs were prepositioned in the island municipality of Sto. Niño, Samar on May 26.
There were also 500 FFs delivered in DSWD FO 1 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, in addition to the 3,078 food and non-food items already on standby in its satellite warehouse.
Moreover, 1,500 FFs were received by the DSWD FO 1 Regional Warehouse City of San Fernando, La Union.
These were from the DSWD Central Office's National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau.
The same number of FFs were also delivered by DSWD FO VIII in Saint Bernard and Hinundayan, Southern Leyte.
Aside from that, 150 hygiene kits, 150 kitchen kits, 150 sleeping kits, and 150 family kits were also sent to the province.
