University of Santo Tomas won its 46th general championship in the collegiate division and 22nd overall in the high school rank in Season 85 of the UAAP’s full athletic return since the pandemic on Saturday, May 27.
The closing ceremony was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, where UST also clinched the Streetdance Competition title in the seniors and juniors division.

In total, the España-based school garnered 336 points to beat De La Salle (279) by 57 points in second and University of the Philippines in third (260). UST took home nine titles this season from its men’s and women’s beach volleyball, women’s taekwondo, women’s athletics, women’s 3x3, men’s judo, men’s tennis, men’s table tennis and men’s chess in the collegiate tournaments to bag its sixth straight general championship. Meanwhile, UST had eight titles in the high school division including the girls beach volleyball, girls athletics, girls table tennis, boys taekwondo, boys and girls swimming and boys and girls judo. Much like in the collegiate tourney, UST High School totaled 217 points to also defeat La Salle (137) for the title and Far Eastern University (126). Despite the shortened season last year that only had seven sports, UST still came through and won four of the titles to continue its reign in the league.
