In an update issued at 4:00 a.m., PAGASA said Palawan, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and CARAGA Region might experience cloudy skies along with some rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Southwesterly Windflow through Super Typhoon Betty (international name: Mawar).

PAGASA noted that the tendencies of flash floods and landslides are possible because of the moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country might face partly cloudy-to-cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also caused by Southwesterly Windflow or localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the locals that flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

As the latest update stated, at 3:00 a.m., the center of the "Betty" was monitored 1,345 kilometers East of Central Luzon, sustaining wind of 195 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 240 km/h. (Sonny Daanoy)
