* Police confiscated "shabu" worth P25,840,000 from two "high-value" suspects in a buy-bust operation on Service Road in Barangay 160, Caloocan City, on Saturday, May 27. Col. Ruben Lacuesta, Caloocan City Police Station chief, identified the suspects as Edwin Agustin, 42, of Barangay Dalandanan, Valenzuela City; and Lenard Cruz, 20, of Longos, Malabon City. In coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Regional Office National Capital Region (PDEA-RONCR), members of Caloocan City Police and Valenzuela City Police conducted the buy-bust operation at around 2:37 a.m. Confiscated from the suspects were around 3,800 grams of shabu valued at P25,840,000. They also recovered from the suspects a navy blue backpack, the buy-bust money, a .32-caliber pistol loaded with one ammunition, magazine loaded with four bullets, a cellphone and a motorcycle. Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects, police said.
