Kapuso actor Dingdong has added the title of game show host to his list of job experiences. Apart from him being the host of the No. 1 game show in the country today, "Family Feud," Dantes is also busy with other showbiz projects.
But between acting and hosting, which one does Dingdong enjoy the most?
"Pareho. Ang pinaka-umpisa ko talaga is acting. Ang hosting naman ay performance rin para sa akin. Napamahal na rin talaga ako sa hosting ng 'Family Feud' kasi more than one year ko rin siyang ginawa although ganun din siya sa 'Amazing Earth' kaya naging malapit na rin sa akin ang hosting," said Dantes, when asked which of the two activities he loves most, when he was launched as the first Filipino global ambassador of Italian lifestyle brand POLICE, at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City recently.
(Both. My very beginning is acting. Hosting is also a performance for me. I have also really fallen in love with hosting 'Family Feud' because I also did it for more than one year, although I also did the same in 'Amazing Earth' so hosting has also become close to me.)
"I really enjoy hosting kasi para rin siyang therapy sa akin. Tuwing sumampa ako sa stage, ang saya lang kasi nakakalimutan mo ang dapat mong isipin. Ganun din naman sa acting. So pareho siyang malapit sa akin," the hunk actor added.

(I really enjoy hosting because it's like therapy for me. Every time I go on stage, it's just fun because I forget what you should be thinking about. It's the same with acting. So they're close to me.)
Dantes, 42, said he was thrilled to learn that his global campaign for the popular eyewear brand made it to the billboard on Times Square in New York City.
"Lumaki talaga ako ng Cubao. Then sabi ko, 'uy, ma, nakarating na ako ng New York sa Times Square," said Dingdong, in reference to his billboard in New York City where he endorsed Police eyewear recently. "But I am really proud to represent the brand hindi lang sa atin sa Pilipinas kundi pati na rin sa global stage."
(I really grew up in Cubao. Then I said, 'hey, mom, I've arrived in New York in Times Square. But I am really proud to represent the brand not only here in the Philippines but also on the global stage.)
Dantes said it was his wife, Kapuso actress Marian Rivera, who first relayed to him about the billboard.
"Sinabi naman talaga sa akin yun ni Frank (Briones) na mangyayari 'yun. Ang tanong nga lang is kelan. Then sabi niya, lalabas na sa Times Square in a few. minutes. Wala ako nun nasa Zambales ako. So pinakita naman niya yung mga video. I think it ran the whole day."
(Actually, Frank (Briones) told me that it would happen. The only question is when. Then he said, it will appear on Times Square in a few minutes. I wasn't there at the time, I was in Zambales. So he showed me the videos.)
Dantes also revealed that he's busy doing other projects.
"No. 1 may gagawin ako under GMA Public Affairs. The movie is called 'Firefly' and ongoing na rin ang production. So I will be part of that movie. On top of that, I am announcing very soon," he said. He refused to give details about one project, but he said it was going to be a dream project.
"In the groove na rin kami sa taping sa 'Royal Blood.' The series ay binubuo ng interesting characters na magkakaptid. Yun talaga ang magdadala ng kuwento. Tungkol sa brothers and sisters. So buo na yung character ng bawa't isa," Dantes said. "Nakatutok talaga sa suspense element yung kuwento."
Dantes added: "Sana magtuloy-tuloy lalo na sa movies dahil gusto nating mabuhay muli ang pelikulang Pilipino. Kaya sana bumalik na rin yung mga tao sa sinehan despite the other options when it comes to watching movies. Iba pa rin talaga yung experience pag nandun ka sa sinehan pero proper care pa rin dahil alam mong delikado pa rin."

The digital billboard of Dantes was featured alongside Lewis Hamilton, the most celebrated F1 Superstar, as part of the. brand's 40th anniversary.
