Police seized some P340,000 worth of alleged shabu from two women and a man during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Friday, May 26.
Pasig Police chief Col. Celerino Sacro Jr. identified the suspects as “Micah,” 23; “Joana,” 34, included in the Pasig City Drug Watchlist; and “Jerome,” 24.
Prior to the arrest, the police conducted surveillance operations led by the Pasig Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with the Station Intelligence Section.
The buy-bust operation was done, leading to the arrest of the suspects, at Kenneth Road, Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 1:40 a.m.
Police recovered 15 transparent plastic sachets containing 50 grams of suspected shabu. The standard drug price overall was valued at P340,000.
A P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and 16 pieces of fake P1,000 bill used as boodle money were also confiscated from the suspects.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
