In a text message to Senate reporters this afternoon May 26,, Villanueva said he is now “COVID FREE.” “Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. God bless you all,” he added. Villanueva tested positive for the third time for Covid-19 last week. He said he was then suffering from “fever-like symptoms.’’ “Can’t believe that we got Covid-19 for the third time. I started not feeling well last Thursday (May 18), which, initially, I thought was just because of my knee injury. I took an antigen test today because I started feeling worse with fever-like symptoms, and unfortunately, I tested positive,” he told reporters in a message on Sunday (May 21). Deputy Majority Leader Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito took over his post in this week’s plenary sessions.
