P721,000 shabu seized in Bacolod drug sting

BACOLOD CITY – Police seized 106 grams of suspected shabu worth P720,800  from a 21-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here on Wednesday, May 24.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, head of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said they placed the suspect, Jeo Tongoy, 21, of Barangay 2, under a three-week monitoring after receiving information about his alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade. Mogato said the suspect is a newly identified individual but a high value individual at the same time, considering the huge volume of illegal drugs confiscated from him. Police also recovered P1,000 marked money and P200 from the suspect. Mogato said that young individuals are being used by drug peddlers as they can easily be influenced by money.
