Nambatac and Asistio combined for 28 of the Elasto Painters’ 42 points in the blazing fourth quarter flurry to pull away and score their first win in the pre-season exhibition games.

Nambatac finished with 22 points while Asistio backstopped him with the same output while also combining for seven triples throughout the contest initially thought would be a grind-out affair after a tight first three quarters.

Up by only three, 81-78, early in the final frame, the Elasto Painters went on a tear with Jewel Ponferada nailing a triple and a layup to trigger a massive 21-5 outburst capped by back-to-back triples from Nambatac and Asistio.

NLEX, which was without Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Kevin Alas, Sean Anthony, Philip Paniamogan, Anthony Semerad, and Matt Nieto, never recovered from there as it found itself buried in a huge 21-point hole in the final two minutes.

Ponferrada finished with 10 points while Jhonard Clarito and Sean Ildefonso had nine apiece

Bong Galanza paced NLEX with 22 points while Kris Rosales added 16 – all of which went down the drain as the Road Warriors remain winless through two games in the pre-season tiff.
