Man shot while playing games on cellphone in Quezon

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A 37-year-old man was shot and wounded while playing games on his cellphone in front of his house on Thursday night, May 25, in Barangay Ilayang Iyam here. Police identified the victim as Michael Polintan.

Investigation said Polintan was playing games on his cellphone when two men arrived onboard a motorcycle and fired at the victim. The suspects, one of whom was identified as Errol Ortega, 30, of Barangay Isabang here, fled toward Pleasantville Subdivision in Barangay Ilayang Iyam. Police launched a manhunt afterwards and arrested Ortega in Jael Subdivision in Barangay Ilayang Iyam. Ortega’s companion is the subject of a police manhunt. Police have yet to determine the motive of the shooting.
