Ex-convict yields P100,000 shabu in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – A woman who had been convicted for illegal drugs was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 29 here on Wednesday, May 24. Police Capt. Francis Depasucat, head of Police Station 5, said Maria Theresa Mendoza, 45, of Barangay 29, yielded 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P100,000, an improvised tooter, marked money, and a lighter. She is a street-level individual, according to the police. Depasucat said that Mendoza served her sentence at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City. She was released from jail two years ago, he added.
