AGLIPAY, Quirino – The Department of Public Works and Highways is scheduled to complete a flood control project in Pinaripad here on June 5.
The DPWH said the project which began on April 8, 2022 has a 212.58-meter four-berm concrete river control and bridge slope protection structure in Section 1 and a 400-meter gabion protection structure in Section 2 with toe protections.
For additional protection, a 0.23-meter thick Portland Cement Concrete Pavement with stone masonry is being installed with roadway lighting for the bridge and approaches.
The project’s original target completion date was March 10, 2023, but it was revised to a duration of 424 calendar days, with a new target completion date set of June 5.
The project aims to provide enhanced flood protection to surrounding areas.
