Body of ‘salvage’ victim found in Quezon


TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – The body of a man believed to be a “salvage” or summary execution victim was found near the bypass road in Barangay Wakas here on Thursday morning, May 25.

Tayabas City police chief Police Lt. Col. Bonna Obmerga said they received a call from concerned citizens that a body was found in the area at 11 a.m.

Police proceeded to the area and found the body on the ground.

The victim had a tattoo on his left shoulder of American rapper Whiz Khalifa's face and marijuana leaves and tribal tattoos on the back of his left leg. He was 5’5” in height, medium built, aged 35 to 40, brown complexion, wearing red sando, and blue jersey shorts.

His head covered with a black cloth, bore bullet wounds, and hands were handcuffed at the back.

Police said a passerby saw a white hatchback car with a green plate rushing to leave the area before the body was found.

The Quezon Police Forensic Unit was tapped to process the crime scene.

Tayabas police has requested a dragnet operation and coordinated with nearby police stations for the identification of the suspects.
