70-year-old woman arrested in shabu buy-bust in Taguig 


A 70-year-old woman was arrested by operatives from the Taguig police in a buy-bust operation in Taguig. 

The operation was conducted on May 24 by the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Sitio Imelda, Upper Bicutan.

The woman was identified as Monira Kasim, 70, who was tagged by the police as a suspected drug peddler. 

During the operation, the Taguig police recovered six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 21.33 grams with a value of P145,044, and the P500 buy-bust money.

“The successful outcome of this operation highlights the unwavering commitment of the Taguig City Police Station to combat drug-related activities in the community,” according to Southern Police District chief Kirby John Kraft.
