Woman nabbed with P680,000 worth of shabu in Negros buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Policemen seized 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000 from a woman during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, May 24. The subject was identified as Jocelyn Yaon, 46. San Carlos City police chief Police Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon Jr. said that Yaon is considered a high-value individual based on the volume of illegal drugs seized from her. Mesahon said that she was placed under monitoring after some drug suspects who were previously arrested pointed her as their alleged source. The suspect allegedly sourced out the illegal drugs from here and distributes it in San Carlos City, according to Mesahon. Charges were filed against Yaon on Thursday, May 25, for selling and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
