The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the schedule and venue for the face-to-face mass oathtaking for the new Professional Teachers via a Facebook post on Thursday, May 25.

The following event places might get their hands full as the PRC has chosen them to host the major event this June: Tacloban Astrodome in Tacloban City on June 8; Mega Gym, Provincial Government Center, Pagadian City on June 10; Zamboanga Coliseum, Zamboanga City on June 12; Cagayan State University, Andrews Campus Gym, Tuguegarao City on June 17; and Bohol Wisdom College, Tagbilaran City, Bohol on June 30.
Meanwhile, most of the oathtaking events are scheduled in July, as the University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City sets to start the month with the said event (July 1), followed by the Atrium Limketkai Center, Cagayan De Oro, on July 2.
Also in July, the following places are about to host the program: Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Complex, Urdaneta, Pangasinan, on July 8; Easter College, Baguio City, on July 9; Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, San Fernando, Pampanga, on July 15; Albay Astrodome, Legazpi City, on July 16; Quezon Convention Center, Lucena, Quezon on July 21; Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City on July 23; University of Mindanao, Matina Gym, Davao City on July 30; and South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, Koronadal City on July 31.
However, the Plenary at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, is the only location for the oathtaking on Aug. 5 and 6.
PRC said that in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (L.E.P.T.) given on March 23, over 24,819 elementary teachers and 48,005 secondary teachers successfully passed the assessment. The passers are expected to take their oaths during the scheduled events.
All willing passers must register on PRC's official website, http://online.prc.gov.ph, before noon of the day ahead of the scheduled date to book their attendance.
Since the oathtaking will be in a face-to-face set up, PRC mandates either a vaccination card or negative RT-PCR -- taken 48 hours before the rite -- for the inductees, along with their printed Oath Form from registration.
Meanwhile, for those who will not be able to participate in the face-to-face ceremony, PRC allows them to join virtually or request a special appointment to pledge after all the mass-scheduled events are finished.
Also, PRC suggested the LEPT passers file their attendance form in the region where they took the examination.
"It is advised that inductees register and confirm their attendance in the regions where they took their licensure examination and intend to register as professionals," PRC posted.
In addition, inductees from the National Capital Region (NCR) may avail of tickets by claiming at the Arellano University Manila from June 5 to Aug. 4. (Sonny Daanoy)
