P191-M shabu seized in Laguna drug bust


CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Suspected shabu worth almost P191 million was seized by the drug enforcement units of the Police Regional Office 4-A and Laguna Police Provincial Office from two high-value individuals in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, in Barangay Makiling, Calamba City, Laguna.

PRO 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces, quoting a report from Laguna police director Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, identified the suspects as Donna Mateo Gali, 37, single, a resident of Santo Tomas City, Batangas, and John Erwin Matol Cadiliña, alias "Erwin," 37, driver, of Calamba City, Laguna.

Suspects yielded 24 self-sealing transparent plastic containing shabu with an estimated weight of 27.775 kilograms and a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P191,647,000; four plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated weight of 100 grams; one knot-tie self plastic containing shabu with an estimated weight of 100 grams; mobile phone, a weighing scale, two sling bag, a Toyota Hi-Ace van with license plate number DAU-4569, and 58 pieces of boodle money.

Silvio said that the anti-illegal drug operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Laguna.
