The Bulacan Medical Center-Luntiang Silong Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Facility of the provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) was recognized for its excellent service in providing assistance to people living with HIV in the province, the Provincial Public Affairs Office (PPAO) said on Wednesday. The PPAO said Ronchie D. Santos, HIV Unit Nurse Supervisor of Luntiang Silong Facility, received the "Excellence Award for HIV Treatment Initiation with above 700 clients" during the 2023 QUILTS Awards ceremony held at the Ynares Center, L. Sumulong Memorial Circle, Antipolo City, Rizal on Monday, May 22. The facility received the same recognition since 2017.

Santos said improvements have been implemented including the "one day link to car" to "one hour link to care" service, wherein the blood samples of patients will be immediately transported to the Rapid HIV Diagnostic Algorithm (RHIVDA) Laboratory along with the baseline test where the confirmatory results can be obtained within one hour. Meanwhile, Governor Daniel R. Fernando commended the people behind the facility who are devotedly looking after Bulakenyos living with HIV. Also, the Meycauayan Social Hygiene Clinic, Region III received the "Excellence Award for HIV Treatment Retention Treatment Facility under 300 clients." The QUILTS Awards is a tribute to facilities and organizations that have made significant contributions to the country's efforts in providing treatment to People Living with HIV, in conjunction with the International HIV Candlelight Memorial.
