65 boys benefit from free circumcision in Bulacan

At least 65 boys, 8 to 12 years old, were the beneficiaries of the free circumcision operation conducted by Vice Mayor Zacarias "Zar" C. Candelaria, a surgeon, in Barangay Gatbuca, Calumpit, Bulacan on Wednesday, May 24, The boys were accompanied by their parents during the free circumcision that was held at the house of Barangay Chairman Ton Robles who requested the activity in the village.

During the operation, Candelaria was assisted by his staff who advised the boys to regularly take medicine or pain relief for at least three days. The boys were also advised to wear loose clothes, no underwear or no clothing at all on their lower part for a few days and never to ride a bicycle until it healed. After the free circumcision activity, Vice Mayor Candelaria together with Don R. Cruz of the Ton Santos Robles (TSR) team distributed free medicines and vitamins to the newly circumcised boys. It was learned that Candelaria has been doing free consultations and minor surgeries for more than 20 years for the needy Bulakenyos.
