OFW shot dead in Laguna

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna â€“ An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was gunned down on Tuesday afternoon, May 23, in Barangay Market Area here. Police identified the victim as Cicoroso Lapez Magsalsal, a resident of Barangay Market Area. Initial investigation said the victim was buying in a store at around 2:30 p.m. when an unidentified man appeared and shot him at the back of his head. The suspect fled while the victim was taken to the Santa Rosa Community Hospital here where he was declared dead. Police are conducting hot-pursuit operation and follow-up investigation.
