Netizens confused over Coco Martin and Julia Montes 'admission' of relationship

Fans rejoiced with Coco Martin blurting out "12 years na kaming magkasama," when asked recently about him and Julia Montes. They were only too eager to assume that it is the admission that they have been waiting for from the two and for so long. But was it really? Some suggest that Coco's 12-year timeline simply refers to their working relationship.  Note that it was 12 years ago when they were paired in the TV series, "Walang Hanggan." When asked that time if he is actually already courting Julia, Coco was quick to issue a disclaimer. When they were paired anew in the film "A Moment in Time" in 2013, Coco said very much the same thing. Julia also denied rumors about them making sweet music in separate interviews around that period.  Based on this, not a few insist Coco was merely talking about their working relationship and not about them being sweethearts.  In the same interview that aired on “TV Patrol,” they were asked pointblank : "Coco, Julia, alam nyo naman rumors before pa na may something between the two of you. So ito na ba ang confirmation?"   "Oo," replied Coco with a laugh, before adding, "Ng friendship namin."
