Of the 114, 25 are registered in Barangay Putatan, 17 in Poblacion, 14 in Bayanan, 13 in Alabang, 12 each in Cupang and Sucat, 11 in Ayala Alabang, nine in Tunasan and one in Buli, Since 2020, Muntinlupa has recorded 46,865 confirmed cases, 46,090 recoveries, and 661 deaths, up by one since last week. Mayor Ruffy Biazon reminded Muntinlupeños to "be an MVP" against COVID-19 as cases continued to show an upward trend a little over a month since the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) put the National Capital Region under Alert Status 1. "Always wear a MASK, especially in public places; get VACCINATED up to the second booster shot; and observe PROPER HAND DISINFECTION --this is how we can be an MVP to fight the spread of COVID-19," Biazon said. The City Health Office (CHO) said supplies of testing kits are adequate. The quarantine facility in Pacwoo, Tunasan is operational as directed by Biazon. Biazon said while Covid-19 is no longer a global emergency, it still remains a public health threat. "Being a respiratory illness, Covid-19 can still put our loved ones in danger, especially seniors, the unvaccinated, or those with comorbidities. So if you feel sick, isolate yourself immediately and stop the disease from spreading. Let's do it to protect our loved ones and the people around us," Biazon added.
