Scheduled on May 25 at the National Museum of Natural History in Manila, the meeting is expected to gather partners of DepEd from various sectors to present their proposed interventions to address the challenges faced by the basic education system.
DepEd said the event will be attended by its Official Development Assistance (ODA) and local partners as well as representatives of DepEd stakeholders, embassies, and local government units.
Before the forum, various DepEd Strands presented their key reform objectives to the education partners.
Early this month, executives of the DepEd presented the major priority interventions to partners ahead of the forum.
In a meeting with the Official Development Assistance (ODA) and local partners, for instance, Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla said that DepEd gives a “special place” to its partners.
“We have to realize that the DepEd's goal to provide quality and accessible basic education to all Filipino learners requires collaboration and a helping hand from organizations and stakeholders like you,” she said.
Aside from the Finance strand, the Strands of Administration, the Curriculum and Teaching (CT), Human Resource and Organizational Development (HROD), Operations, School Infrastructure and Facilities, and Procurement also presented their key reform programs and initiatives.
Last month, DepEd also hosted a consultative meeting at the Central Office where the agency secured the commitment anew of its local partner organizations to providing relevant assistance in the realization of the “MATATAG” Agenda.
Also in April, DepEd held a meeting in Baguio City which involved DepEd Central Office and Regional Officers for the development of the menu of interventions.
