2 wanted ex-cops surrender in Nueva Ecija

GAPAN CITY, Nueva Ecija - Two dismissed policemen listed as most wanted persons (MWP) here surrendered to  authorities on Wednesday, May 24. Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the suspects had standing warrants of arrest for violation of Article 2, Section 29 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Criminal Liability for Planting of Evidence) without bail recommended; robbery with violence against or intimidation with recommended bail of P100,000; and violation of Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code (perjury) and Article 124 of the RPC (arbitrary detention) with a recommended bail of P18,000 each. The suspects were former members of the Gapan City Police Station. They were dismissed from the service in December 2022 in connection with a drug operation in 2018. Suspects are  under the custody of the Gapan City Police Station for proper disposition.
