Pasig LGU holds 2024 Annual Investment Program workshop, presentation


The local government of Pasig City held a three-day workshop and presentation of its Annual Investment Program (AIP) for the year 2024 as part of its efforts in ensuring transparency and participation of the public and civil society organizations (CSO) in government programs.

The Public Information Office (PIO) said the three-day workshop was held from May 18 to 20 and tackled the mainstreaming, finalization, and packaging of the 2024 AIP. It also ensured that all proyekto, programa, at aktibidad (PPA) of the city government are tagged and attributed to the budget of its offices and are included in the statutory and mandatory obligations of their AIPs.

The workshop was spearheaded by the City Planning and Development Office as was attended by members of the Local Finance Committee and other offices of the city government.

The PIO added that the workshop also finalized the 2024 AIP and was presented on Tuesday, May 23, to the City Development Council (CDC).

It said the full presentation of the 2024 AIP was held on May 20 to 21, which was attended by 26 representatives from 15 CSOs.

Before the start of the official presentation of the AIP, each sector got an overview of the processes in the creation of the AIP and the steps taken for its completion), according to the PIO.

The first day of the presentation was attended by representatives from the social sector which includes Housing, Education, Sports and Recreation, Welfare, and Public Safety. The second day was attended by representatives from the economic, environment, and institutional sectors.

After the presentations, the PIO said a post-activity processing was conducted by members of the CSOs led by the Institute of Politics and Governance.

It added that workshops like this is just one of the Pasig City Government's mechanisms in continuing participatory governance.
