1 dead in fire that hit homes under QC flyover

One person was reported to have died after a fire gutted a cluster of houses under a flyover in Barangay Balumbato, Quezon City early Wednesday, May 24. The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire on Camachile was raised to the first alarm at 4:20 a.m. (Photo from Marikina Filipino - Chinese Fire Brigade Volunteers/ MANILA BULLETIN)
It was elevated to the second alarm at around 4:24 a.m. and to the third alarm at 4:46 a.m. The fire status escalated to the fourth alarm at around 5:10 a.m. Firefighters were able to put the blaze under control at around 7:41 a.m.. and was extinguished at around 8:08 a.m. Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the victim, the amount of damage to property, and the cause of the fire. This is a developing story.
