Decomposing body of woman found in vacant lot in Tuguegarao City

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The decomposing body of a woman was found in a vacant lot in Barangay Annafunan East here on Tuesday, May 23. Police identified the victim as Jasmin Grace Casale, 21, of Barangay Atulayan Norte, this city. According to Police Capt. Rosemarie Taguiam, city police information officer, a concerned citizen found the victim's body and immediately informed authorities. The family of the victim told investigators that she had to meet someone on Saturday, May 20. But when she failed to return home the next day, the family decided to appeal on social media. Police said that the victim could have been killed somewhere and was dumped in the area where she was found.
