Bulacan PDRRMO closely monitors water levels of 3 big dams
The Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is now closely monitoring the water levels of the three big dams in the province, particularly Angat Dam which supplies 97 percent of the domestic water needs in Metro Manila.
Based on data of the Bulacan Rescue, the water level of Angat Dam is at 191.45 meters as of 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, which is quite near the critical level of 180 meters; Ipo Dam is at 99.07 (spilling level is at 101 meters); and Bustos Dam at 17.33 meters.

The decelerating water level dropping of Angat Dam will not only affect the almost 30,000 hectares of farmland in the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga but also Metro Manila residents. Meanwhile, citing the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA), regional weather forecast, the PDRRMO announced that as of 4:00 am to 10:am on Tuesday, the province of Bulacan was partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers that have no significant effect. Last Monday, a thunderstorm advisory issued at about 9:05 p.m. led to moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning in the towns of Sta Maria, Marilao, the City of San Jose Del Monte, and Bocaue.
