Netflix in discussion to release late K-pop star Sulli's anthology
Netflix is in discussion to release a special episode of the anthology series "Persona" starring K-pop star Sulli, who passed away in 2019.
Sulli, a former member of girl group (f)x, was found dead at her home in Seongnam in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on Oct. 14, 2019. She was 25.

The special episode “Persona: Sulli” was reported to be released by Netflix on June 16. Twitter users posted a video about the show. The anthology is based on an in-depth interview Sulli gave in 2019.

"This thing, fame, it showed up so abruptly. I understood what it means to be famous but I was scared too,” said Sulli in the trailer. Regarding Sulli’s anthology, Netflix told Korean media, "We are in the process of overall discussions, including the release schedule of 'Persona: Sulli' produced by Mystic Story." “Persona: Sulli” was planned to be produced by five directors who would make first short films with Sulli as the main subject and combine them into one production. Season 1 of the “Persona” series featured singer IU. For the Sulli series, the filming for the first episode was completed but the production was stopped when she died before filming the four remaining episodes. For years, Sulli became the target of hateful and malicious comments on social media and news articles because of her carefree lifestyle.
